Commissioner Brad Gudzinas is proud to call the U Street corridor home,representing one of the most dynamic single-member districts. As a city planner and homeowner on 9 1/2 Street alley he understands that neighborhoods define our unique character and that resident engagement is key to maintaining our sense of place and to building a successful future.
Brad is active on the Economic Development Committee, which is instrumental in guiding redevelopment of the Grimke School to realize its potential as an arts destination. Prior to becoming a commissioner Brad advocated on behalf of residents to ensure ABRA licensing and zoning variance cases within 1B02 respected neighborhood concerns.
Previously, Brad was also active with community organizations in the
Philadelphia region, including an affordable housing nonprofit and historic preservation effort; and assisted a large bank with disbursing millions of dollars in funding for
