🔶 DC Primary Election Day

DC Primary Election Day

Voter Registration Information - If you're unsure if you’re currently registered to vote in DC or need to update your voter registration information for any reason, please visit the following website.  Please note that you may register AND vote at the same time during Early Voting and Election Day (Same Day Registration) at any open voting center.

Rank Choice Voting - RCV is a voting method in which voters rank candidates in order of preference (e.g. 1st choice, 2nd choice, 3rd choice, 4th choice, 5th choice). Beginning with the June 2026 Primary Election in DC, ranked choice voting will be used in eligible contests with three or more candidates.  To learn more about this process along with some helpful interactive tools & videos, please visit the following website.

Primary Election Day Vote Centers - Locations are open Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Voters may cast their ballots AT ANY VOTE CENTER regardless of their residential address.  Again, our nearest Primary Election Day Vote Center is Prince Hall Center for the Performing Arts (Masonic Temple) at 1000 U St NW.  As long as you are "in line" by 8:00 p.m., you'll be allowed to vote -- please do not get out of line for any reason.  Please also see the link below for more information & for a full list of all primary election day vote center locations.

Mailed Ballots via USPS - Any ballots mailed via USPS must be postmarked no later than Tuesday, June 16, 2026.  Please note that due to recent processing changes, postmarks can be delayed up to 2 business days from time of drop off -- on this note, we strongly recommend that all mailed in ballots are dropped off at the post office no later than Friday, June 12, 2026 to avoid any issues.
